Child Neglect Research Paper-50
The Indian Child Abuse, Neglect & Child Labour (ICANCL) group and Indian Medical Association (IMA) has stalwartly promulgated the view that “protection” not only includes protection from disease, poor nutrition, and lack of knowledge but also action against abuse and exploitation.1 In 2011, 9th ISPCAN Asia Pacific Conference of Child Abuse & Neglect (APCCAN) resulted in the “Delhi Declaration”....

Many can agree that it is not just one or the other but a combination of both nature and nurture.

With that being said, when a child is maltreated, specifically neglected, not only is the child not being properly nurtured but also their environment is not conducive to a healthy and beneficial childhood....

This type of neglect makes me sad, why do you not want your child to get well.

If they are sick, or have a condition that you are not able to fix on your own....

Severe consequences to children are the after effect of them suffering from neglect (Connell and Scannapieco, 2006).

71 % of children that are reported endure neglect based on CPS findings (Nicklas and Mackenzie, 2012) and one fourth of the children abused are less than 4 years old (Malik, Lederman, Crowson, and Osofsky, 2002).[tags: Child abuse, Neglect, Physical abuse, Abuse] - In this paper, we will discuss the different types of Child abuse and neglect. How it affects all ages, genders, races and ethnicities are represented among both perpetrators and victims of abuse and neglect, with no particular group are protected. Many elders are physically and mentally able to care for themselves but many are not. Those who are not able to take care of themselves usually have to depend on others for all their needs. There are four types of abuse that must be understood before reporting; physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, and physical or emotional neglect.Child abuse leaves such a strong impact on the victim’s life even after transitioning into an adult; he/she is still a prisoner of their childhood; attempting to create a new life, still recalling the events of the trauma....[tags: deprivation of needs, medical neglect] - The term “protection” ideally should mean protection from all forms of violence, abuse, and exploitation. This underlines the significance of anticipating and preventing potential damage to a child, with the primary requirement of identification of a problem.- The Neglect of children Neglect of children is horrible and after reading this chapter, I have a better understanding of how it works. In this chapter I found out, that there are three categories of neglect.
